Live Rhythms
Mindful freeform movement practice to live music. Inspired by Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms
Live Rhythms Summerhill
North Devon Live Rhythms.
We are a collective of musicians playing a variety of instruments including lots of hand drums[djembe, hand pan, cajon], guitars, upright [double bass], flutes, didjeridoo, Japanese koto harp, singing bowls, fiddle and more.
We offer Live Rhythms movement practice sessions.
Generally sessions begin with a sharing circle, followed by a “body parts warm up” [a led practice that brings intuitive freeform movement into each part of the body - led by Sam Jones who is a Therapeutic Coach and training to be a psycho therapist].
Then we play the Live Wave [the improvised music for people to move to]
We generally finish the session with a closing sharing circle.
NB the video above is from a Live Rhythms project Ged was part of in Newcastle. Video to follow of the North Devon band
